I recently stayed in a cabin at this resort spa, and while it had its charming aspects, there were also several drawbacks. The cabin was cute and clean, offering a rustic feel, but internet connectivity was poor and the mattress left much to be desired. The location is fantastic for hiking enthusiasts, but the dining options were quite limited and not very appetizing. Overall, the experience was decent, but I might consider other options for my next getaway.
Rooms

The cabin was cute and clean but had paper-thin walls, making it less comfortable. The mattress wasn't very good.
Service
7.0
Service at the restaurant was great, which made up for the average food quality.
Location
9.0
The location is perfect for hikers and is close to the falls, which I loved.
Dining

Dining was disappointing, mainly buffet-style food that wasn't hot.
Facilities

The facilities, like the pool, were nice but not very accessible to the cabins. Wi-Fi was very slow.

Staying at the Woodland Lodge was quite the experience. While the location is fantastic for hiking right outside your door, my stay was marred by a few issues. The room had some cleanliness concerns and noise from neighboring rooms. Additionally, the dining options were decent, but with a few maintenance issues that need addressing. Overall, it offers great value if you appreciate a camping-like vibe, but some aspects could definitely be improved.
Rooms
5.0
The room was okay with a mini fridge and microwave, but it felt outdated and lacked comfort. The bathroom was really tiny, and there were cleanliness issues.
Service
7.0
The front desk staff was helpful, but interactions were limited. They did allow us to leave early and provided a refund for the unused night.
Location
9.0
The location is ideal for hikers, with trails just steps away from the lodge. It’s also conveniently located for visits to Cumberland Falls.
Dining
6.0
Dining options available were okay, but the menu was rather simple and lacked variety.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities could use some upkeep. The outdoor area is buggy, and some guests might find the decor and maintenance lacking.

The Dupont Lodge at the Cumberland Falls State Resort Park offers a charming and rustic atmosphere surrounded by beautiful woodlands. The rooms provide a comfortable stay, and the dining options were quite enjoyable. However, the need for room updates and some minor inconveniences like an ant issue and ongoing construction were noticeable. Overall, it’s a promising spot for a nature getaway, but it does have its drawbacks.

Staying at the Lodge was a delightful experience with beautiful scenery all around. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. However, the rooms are a bit small and dated, and the dining could use a serious upgrade. Still, the relaxing atmosphere and access to great hiking trails make it worth a visit.

We stayed in a lodge that has charm but definitely needs updates. The views from the veranda were wonderful, and the staff were genuinely nice and helpful. However, the rooms were really small and felt quite outdated, and the dining experience left a lot to be desired. For the price we paid, I expected more comfort and quality in food options.
